QUESTION:
What happens to walls after foundation work is done?
I’m talking about the Walls inside the house.. In this case Bedroom walls. We are serious about buying this house BUT our inspector said that it did need minor foundation work. The seller got an estimate from a reputable foundation co. and was quoted 00 for repairs. Inspector said it was just one corner of the house that gradually sat about 2inches lower than the center of the house. It is the corner where the master bedroom is located. If you look at the pictures from the website it is the front corner of the opposite side of the driveway. The house is lovely, very CLEAN, and we absolutely love it. Inspector said that the rest of the house looked great and he thinks is a great house overall and he thinks it could get it done for about 00. Just want to have an idea of what the outcome would be if we decide to move forward with this house.

ANSWER:
Floor sagging is pretty common in some older homes. 00 isn’t too bad!
I recently helped my best friend jack up her house and used shims to level the area between the kitchen and livingroom, which appeared to have sagged from uneven load over the 50 years it has sat there.Anyway I wouldn’t let that stop you from buying it. You might have to fix a few walls or reinstall a couple of windows if they get tight – but that is pretty minor.
Congrats!!??
