I don’t know where you have been for the last couple of hundred years, but the majority of black women have never had an issue with our beauty. Most of my ancestors have always appreciated the unique beauty of our women. It never bothered some of us what some people in mainstream society thought. Why should we have to prove to fools that full lips and rounded behinds are sexy? That is not my job. We are so much more than body parts, and I refuse to let anyone define me in such a manner. Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie are called beautiful for having features that originated with black women and black women never got credited or called beautiful. Full lips and big butts now are a thing of beautiful just because a white and a spanish woman has it so now it’s beautiful mainstream-wise, white and spanish women are getting lip injections and butt implants, but the full lips and big butts wasn’t considered beautiful when only black women had the features. Thoughts?

      You are absolutely correct. That is because everyone knows that being black is beautiful. They just don’t want to acknowledged it. Remember we were once considered along the same lines as cattle. Whites control and if you are either close to white or white, white media brainwashes people to believe that white is beautiful. So the closer you are to white the better. You forgot Beyonce. Even though she is black and beautiful she is still light. There are many other darker women who are MORE beautiful or just as pretty as she. I personally think that KENYA MOORE is way prettier than many light skinned black women.

      NO offense to anyone. But she is someone I can relate to, understand that the media don’t put too many dark women as actresses on TV.
